Melbourne Osteopathy Sports Injury Centre has your Pilates needs covered thanks to an expert team working over two convenient Melbourne CBD locations:
- 140 Bourke Street (between Russell & Exhibition Streets)
- 546 Collins Street (between King & Spencer Streets)
Our studios are fully equipped with top of the line equipment and offer adjunct services including Osteopathy, Gait Analysis, Exercise Physiology, Massage and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Our Pilates Team offer a diverse a range of qualifications under multiple accredited certification programs and each have at least five years teaching experience. Some have been teaching for more than 15-years.
Both Bourke and Collins Street locations offer private sessions in addition to studio classes.
Our clients typically begin their Pilates journey with two to five private sessions where we identify their needs, any postural issues and movement strategies. We always take the time to teach the fundamentals of the Pilates method in a way that resonates with each individual. You may be a professional triathlete, a weekend warrior, a new mum, or an exercise novice. Everyone learns differently and it is our job to make the method effective and enjoyable for you.
During these private sessions your teacher will build an understanding of which exercises and concepts will be of benefit as you prepare to enter a studio class. Studio classes are shared with up to three other clients and are a wonderful way to maintain your technique under direct supervision of a certified teacher. The instructor also has the flexibility to tailor each session to suit exactly how your body is feeling. In contrast, a generic group Pilates class requires that all participants go with the flow.
At Melbourne Osteopathy Sports Injury Centre, our studio instructors will provide a repertoire tailored to provide exactly what you need to feel better, each and every time.
Pilates is a life-long insurance policy for your body. If you start with sound fundamentals (rather than mucking around with group fitness-style classes), you quickly begin to learn the fundamentals of the Pilates method inside and out!
You can rely on our expert team to work together across all modalities to provide a solution to your complaint. If you are lucky enough to already be pain-free, then we still promise to provide you with a valuable Pilates workout.
Nicholas Psarros is a Senior Pilates Instructor at Melbourne Osteopathy Sports Injury Centre. He is a fully qualified member of the Pilates Alliance Australasia and also an Exercise and Sports Scientist with ESSA.
